Chandler walnut sapling is one of the most preferred walnut varieties worldwide. This variety attracts attention with its high yield capacity, early fruiting feature and quality fruits. The tree structure is strong and shows semi-upright development. Chandler walnut sapling is frequently preferred in commercial orchard establishments and is in great demand in domestic and foreign markets.
Climate and Soil Requirements
Chandler walnut sapling gives successful results in temperate climate conditions. Its cold resistance is at medium level and can withstand up to -15°C. Care should be taken against spring frosts. In terms of soil requirements, it prefers deep, well-drained, organically rich soils. It shows the best development in soils with pH value between 6.5-7.5. It should be grown in soils with good drainage.
Planting and Care
The most suitable time for planting Chandler walnut sapling is autumn and early spring months. Planting distance is recommended as 8x8 meters or 10x10 meters.
